Why US Car-Go Freight is a great fit for your auto transport needs

Who we are, how our pricing and communication work, and which shipments we handle best.

US Car-Go Freight Logistics LLC is a licensed auto transport broker based in Tampa, Florida. We arrange nationwide car shipping through a network of more than 15,000 vetted carriers, with open, enclosed, door-to-door and expedited options. You work with one advisor from your first quote to delivery, and you can check our federal registration yourself under USDOT 3911910 and MC 1444325.

Shipping a car means handing your keys to someone you have never met and trusting that the car shows up, at the agreed price, in the same condition. That is a lot to ask. So this article skips the slogans and explains how US Car-Go Freight works: what we do, what we don’t do, where customers have concerns, and who gets the most out of our service.

If you are comparing more than one auto transport company right now, use this as a checklist. The questions below apply to any company you call, including us.

Why US Car-Go Freight works for your auto transport needs

We are a broker, and we say so up front

Most people looking for a car shipping company do not realize there are two kinds of businesses in this industry. Carriers own the trucks. Brokers find the right truck for your route, your dates and your budget. US Car-Go Freight is a broker. We do not own the trailers, and the footer of our own website says so.

That matters because a single carrier only runs certain lanes on certain days. An auto transport broker with a large network can match your shipment to a truck that is already heading your way. That usually means a faster pickup and a better rate than calling carriers one at a time. Our guide to brokers, carriers and marketplaces covers the differences in detail.

The auto transport broker responsibilities are specific. We quote the job, check that the carrier holds federal authority and cargo insurance, schedule the pickup, and stay your point of contact until the vehicle is delivered. The carrier is responsible for loading, hauling and unloading your vehicle safely.

One advisor from quote to delivery

You are not passed between departments. Our dedicated shipping advisors take your quote request, book the carrier and follow the shipment through to delivery. Many customer reviews mention an advisor by name, which says something about how the relationship works in practice.

Nationwide auto transport, including the hard routes

We arrange nationwide auto transport across all 50 states. City-to-city routes along major interstates move fastest. Rural pickups, small towns and long cross-country hauls take more planning, and that is where a network of more than 15,000 carriers is useful. Nationwide car shipping only works when someone can find a driver for the last 80 miles too.

Hours that fit real schedules

Our team is available Monday through Saturday with extended hours. If your pickup is at a dealership that closes at five, or your move-out date just changed, you can call and talk it through with your advisor.

Why customers trust US Car-Go Freight

A license you can check yourself

Anyone can build a website. Not everyone holds federal broker authority. As a licensed auto transport broker, US Car-Go Freight Logistics LLC is registered with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration under USDOT 3911910 and MC 1444325. Federal rules also require every broker to keep a $75,000 surety bond or trust on file.

Do not take our word for it. Enter either number in the FMCSA company search and you will see our registration and authority status. Run the same check on every vehicle shipping company that sends you a quote.

The company has been incorporated since June 2022.

What US Car-Go Freight reviews say

We have more than 1,500 Google reviews, plus reviews on TransportReviews. The positive ones repeat a few themes: the driver called before pickup and delivery, the advisor answered status questions quickly, and the final price matched the quote. You can read a selection on our reviews page.

Not every review is five stars, and we will not pretend otherwise. Some customers have written about price disagreements, slow replies or late trucks. The next section takes each of those concerns in turn. When you read US Car-Go Freight reviews, read recent ones on more than one platform and pay attention to the specifics, good and bad.

Carrier insurance in plain numbers

Every carrier we assign must carry cargo insurance, as federal regulations require. The coverage levels we work with are $250,000 for open carriers and $1,000,000 for enclosed carriers. You can ask your advisor for the insurance certificate of the carrier assigned to your vehicle before pickup.

The driver inspects the vehicle with you at pickup and again at delivery, and records its condition on the Bill of Lading. Take your own photos at both ends. That document and those photos are what make a damage claim simple if one is ever needed.

Pricing, communication and delays: straight answers

These are the three areas where auto transport customers get frustrated, with any company. Here is how each one works at US Car-Go Freight and what you can do to protect yourself.

Will the price change after you book?

The biggest fear in this industry is bait and switch pricing. A company quotes a low number to win the booking, then raises it once your move date is close and you have no time to switch. It happens, and it is the reason people look up unexpected car shipping costs before they book anyone.

Here is how US Car-Go Freight pricing works. Your auto transport quote is based on current carrier rates for your route, and it includes fuel, carrier insurance, tolls and taxes. Because we are a broker, the final price is set when a carrier accepts the job. If that number is different from your quote, we tell you before anything is confirmed, and nothing is added without your approval.

Honest auto transport pricing means telling you up front when a number can move. Auto transport price changes come from two places. The first is the job itself: a vehicle that turns out not to run, a vehicle that is larger or heavier than described, a new pickup or delivery address, or a change of dates. The second is the market: carrier rates shift with season, fuel and demand, and a carrier may not accept a job at the rate first quoted. Ask how long your quote is valid and what happens if no carrier takes it at that price.

To lower the risk of US Car-Go Freight price changes, or car shipping price changes with any company, give your advisor the exact vehicle condition, modifications, addresses and dates at the start. Then ask for the total in writing before you pay anything. If a number ever differs from your written quote, ask what changed and why before you approve it. Our car shipping costs page explains what goes into a price.

How communication works

Poor communication is the second most common complaint about brokers in general. A customer books, then hears nothing until the truck is an hour away, or not at all.

US Car-Go Freight communication runs through your advisor. We update you at each stage of the shipment: when a carrier is assigned, at pickup and at delivery. Drivers typically call ahead of both pickup and delivery. For shipment updates in between, call or message your advisor during working hours, Monday through Saturday.

Good auto transport communication goes both ways. Keep your phone on during the pickup window, save your advisor’s direct number, and tell us right away if your plans change. If your car shipping communication ever goes quiet, call the main line at (888) 249-8840 and ask for a status check. Auto transport customer service comes down to one thing: whether a named person picks up when you call.

What happens when a truck runs late

Set your auto transport service expectations around windows, not appointments. A carrier hauls several vehicles and makes several stops, so pickup and delivery dates are estimates. Weather, traffic, a mechanical problem or a late customer earlier on the route can each push the schedule.

Auto transport delays are part of the trade. Silence about them should not be. If a carrier falls behind, your advisor should tell you and give you a new estimate. When vehicle pickup delays threaten your move date, we can look for another carrier in the network. One reviewer described exactly that: the first driver was running a day late, a replacement was found, and the car arrived a day early.

If your date cannot move at all, say so before you book. Expedited car shipping exists for that situation.

Cancellations and services that are not delivered

Read the auto transport cancellation policy before you pay a deposit, with us or anyone else. Ours is in our terms and conditions, and your advisor can walk you through it. Ask two questions: when does a cancellation fee apply, and what happens to my deposit if no carrier is assigned in the agreed window?

Complaints about unfulfilled services usually come from a gap between what was said on the phone and what was written down. Close that gap by getting your pickup window, total price and service type in writing.

If you searched “US Car-Go Freight complaints” or “US Car-Go Freight scam”

Good. Search those terms for any company before you send money. You will find complaints about us along with the positive reviews, and you should read both.

What you can verify independently is this: we are a federally registered broker with an MC number you can look up, a bond on file, a street address in Tampa and a phone line staffed six days a week. A bait and switch depends on a customer who has nothing in writing, so ask us for everything in writing. If something goes wrong with a shipment, call us first and ask your advisor to escalate it. We would rather fix a problem than read about it later.

What makes US Car-Go Freight services practical

Our vehicle transportation services come down to three choices: the trailer type, the pickup method and the speed. Make those and you have your shipment.

Open auto transport

Your vehicle rides on an open, multi-car trailer, the kind you see on the highway every day. It is the most common and lowest-cost option. The car is exposed to weather and road dust, the same as if you drove it. More on open transport.

Best for: daily drivers, SUVs and pickups, and anyone watching the budget.

Enclosed auto transport

The vehicle travels inside a covered trailer, shielded from weather and road debris, with carriers that hold higher cargo coverage. It costs more than open transport. More on enclosed transport.

Best for: classic, luxury, exotic and low-clearance cars, and fresh restorations.

Door-to-door auto transport

The driver picks up at your address and delivers to your address, so you never visit a terminal. Where a large truck cannot legally or safely reach, such as a narrow street or a cul-de-sac, we agree on a meeting point close by. More on door-to-door service.

Best for: home moves and anyone who cannot spare half a day at a terminal.

Expedited car shipping

Your shipment gets priority dispatch for a faster pickup. It costs more because a carrier is rearranging a route around your date. More on expedited shipping.

Best for: fixed move-out dates, job start dates and last-minute purchases.

We also arrange motorcycle shipping, heavy equipment shipping and recurring shipments for dealerships and other businesses.

The car shipping process, step by step

The auto transport process has three stages.

  1. Request a quote

Enter your pickup and delivery ZIP codes, the vehicle and your dates online, or call us. You get a price and can ask questions before you commit to anything.

  2. We arrange the pickup

Once you book, your advisor assigns a licensed, insured carrier and confirms the pickup window. At pickup, you and the driver inspect the car together and sign the Bill of Lading.

  3. Receive your vehicle

The driver calls ahead of delivery. You inspect the car again, compare it with the pickup report and sign for it.

Getting your car ready

Preparation takes about twenty minutes. Leave the fuel tank at a quarter or less. Wash the car so existing scratches show up clearly at inspection. Take out personal items, since anything left inside is not covered by the carrier’s insurance. Switch off the alarm, and remove or secure loose parts such as antennas and spoilers. Have your registration and proof of insurance on hand. Our walkthrough of how car shipping works has the full checklist.

Who US Car-Go Freight is best for

Our service fits people who want one contact to manage the whole job and who benefit from a wide choice of carriers. These are the situations where that helps most.

Households moving to another state

You are already managing movers, leases and school dates. Door-to-door pickup lets you fly, or drive the moving truck, while the car follows.

Military families

Orders come with fixed report dates. Give your advisor the timeline and we plan the pickup window around it.

Snowbirds and seasonal travelers

Heading to Florida or Arizona for the winter and back north in spring. Book early, because those routes fill up and rates rise with demand.

Online and out-of-state car buyers

You found the right car 900 miles away. We coordinate pickup with the dealership or private seller and deliver to your driveway.

Classic and luxury car owners

Enclosed transport, with higher carrier coverage, for vehicles that should not see rain or road spray.

Dealers and businesses

Dealerships, auction buyers and fleet managers who ship vehicles regularly and want one point of contact for all of them.

When another option may suit you better

We are not the right answer for everyone. If your trip is short and you have a free day, driving the car yourself may cost less. If you want to deal only with the trucking company and can work around its routes and schedule, booking a carrier directly is a fair choice. And if you need a guaranteed pickup hour at a standard open-carrier rate, no honest broker can promise that.

How to get started

Request a quote online or by phone, and share accurate details about the vehicle. Ask every question on your list, including the hard ones from this article. Book when the written terms match what you were told.

Questions and answers

Is US Car-Go Freight a broker or a carrier?

US Car-Go Freight is an auto transport broker. We arrange your shipment with a licensed, insured carrier from our network and manage communication from quote to delivery. The carrier owns the truck and physically moves the vehicle.

Is US Car-Go Freight a legitimate company or a scam?

US Car-Go Freight Logistics LLC is a federally registered auto transport broker, USDOT 3911910 and MC 1444325, with an office at 3333 W Kennedy Blvd, Suite 207, Tampa, Florida. You can confirm the registration in the FMCSA company search. We recommend running that check on any broker before you book.

How much does it cost to ship a car?

Price depends on distance, vehicle size, trailer type, season and how flexible your dates are. Our 2026 cost guide puts most shipments between $200 and $2,200. Enclosed and expedited service cost more than standard open transport. Request a quote for an exact figure on your route.

Will my quote change after I book?

It can. Your quote is based on current carrier rates and includes fuel, carrier insurance, tolls and taxes. The price can change if the shipment changes, for example if the vehicle does not run, is larger than described, or the addresses or dates move. It can also change if carrier rates on your route shift before a carrier accepts the job. We tell you before any change is confirmed, and nothing is added without your approval. Ask for your total in writing and ask how long the quote is valid.

How long does car shipping take?

It depends on distance and route. Short regional moves often deliver within a few days of pickup, while coast-to-coast shipments usually take a week or longer. Pickup and delivery dates are estimated windows, and weather or traffic can shift them.

Is my car insured during transport?

Yes. Carriers are required to hold cargo insurance, and the coverage levels we work with are $250,000 on open carriers and $1,000,000 on enclosed carriers. Personal items left in the car are not covered. It is also worth asking your own insurer whether your policy adds any protection in transit.

How do I get updates on my shipment?

Your advisor is your contact for shipment updates. Call or message during working hours, Monday through Saturday. Drivers typically call before pickup and again before delivery.

Can I cancel my booking?

Cancellation terms are set out in our terms and conditions. Read them before you pay a deposit, and ask your advisor to confirm in writing when a fee would apply.

What kinds of vehicles do you ship?

Cars, SUVs, pickup trucks, motorcycles, classic and luxury vehicles, and heavy equipment. Tell your advisor if the vehicle does not run, or is lifted, lowered or modified, so the right trailer is assigned.

Before you book anyone

Check the license. Get the total in writing. Know the name of the person responsible for your shipment. Those three checks protect you with any company, and we are glad to be held to them.
